NMF Trains Athletes For World Championship

Federation says it has intensified preparations for the forth coming world Muythai Championship scheduled to hold next month in Thailand.
The South-South Co-ordinator of the Federation, Leader Jacob Kingsley Ewelie, disclosed this in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt recently.
He said that the team is presently undergoing serious training in order to be on top form for the task ahead when the competition finally gets underway.
He promised that the team would not let the country down as they are determined to do Nigeria proud in the championship.
“We are doing everything to ensure that the athletes are up to standard in terms of the latest rules in the sport and technical. This would enable us put up a good performance at the championship”, he said.
It would be recalled that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recently gave recognition to the Muythai Sport and it would be demonstrating amongst other sports at the 2016 Olympic Games scheduled to hold in Brazil.
The South-South Co-ordinator, however, advised the athletes to be committed to their chosen career in order to perform up to expectation at the world tournament.
