Enyeama Misses Yobo In Eagles

and stand-in captain, Vincent Enyeama has said that regular captain Joseph Yobo’s absence will be sorely missed in the Nigeria squad against Malawi tomorrow.
Yobo has been left out of the national team set-up since Nigeria won the Africa Cup of Nations in February.
The Lille keeper has done a great job for Nigeria while wearing the captain’s armband but admits that he would love to see his old team-mate make a return to national team duty.
“It’s a big honour to wear the (captain’s arm) band for this country,” he told newsmen. “It’s also an honour to stand in place of Yobo. Yobo is a great guy and an amazing person. He’s a great human being.
“I wish Yobo was here in Calabar, unfortunately, he’s not. It’s up to the coach to decide who comes to the camp and who does not.
“It’s up to the coach to decide who comes and who does not but I really wish he was here.
“However, it’s an honour for me to captain this great side,” he added.
