Commissioner Warns Defaulting Contractors On LG Quarters

missioner for Local Government, Alhaji Salisu Indirawa, has, said government would not hesitate to revoke the contract of defaulting handlers of the local government chairmen’s official quarters.
Indirawa gave the warning during an inspection of the construction of the official residence of the chairman of Sule-tankarkar Local Government.
According to him, the government will not condone any failure or lapses by any contractor.
“I will also want to warn that we are not only focusing on early completion of the project but the work quality as we expect the quarters to be done according to the contractual specification.’’
The commissioner said the project was aimed at providing decent accommodation for the council chairmen so as to motivate them to stay in their respective councils and serve their people with due diligence.
Indirawa pledged the ministry’s determination to always liaise with the local government chairmen to initiate and execute projects that would impact on the lives of the people.
