Coach Blames Sharks’ Loss On Lack Of Concentration

Football Club of Port Harcourt, Gbenga Ogunbote has attributed the 1-0 loss to Sunshine Stars in Akure to lack of concentration in the dying moments of the first 45 minute.
Ogunbote who was looking forward to an eventful outing against his former team said they were victim of their inability to convert the many chances that came their way which would have unsettled Sunshine Stars in the first half.
He promised that they will put the loss behind them and concentrate  haven learnt their lessons and concentrate on their remaining matches.
“The game has been played, won and lost. The important thing is what we have learnt from the game. We go back home and work harder and ensure that we are able to correct the mistakes we made here”. Ogunbote added
“We had a few chances we would have wrapped up the game in the first thirty minutes, we didn’t and that goal was conceded in the careless moment.
“We lost the game its not the fault of anybody, I don’t run away from responsibilities. “he stressed though management was not happy with the way the team was treated by the ondo state football association when they were prevented from training on Saturday coach Ogunbote was given a resounding reception by the fans who were happy to see him once again.
He said he was the least flattered by the reception given to him by the fans.
“No am not, I expected it. By the special grace of God while I was here (with Sunshine Stars), God with his infinite mercy made it possible for me to do very well so they don’t have any choice than to give me a warm reception,” Ogunbote echoed.
