‘Probe Wike Now’

As reactions continue to trail the statement credited to the Minister of State for Education, Chief Nyesom Wike to the effect that he (Wike) will make the state ungovernable, a factional leader of the Rivers Youth Movement (RYM) Prince Fyneface Amaechi says a thorough inquest into the Minister’s statement and activities have become imperative.

Speaking in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt, Prince Amaechi said that the statement is not only condemnable but capable of inflaming the polical crisis in the state.

He RYM leader said that since, nobody is above the law, the security agencies are duty bound to interrogate the Minister with a view to ensuring peace and security in the state.

According to him, the presidency and the security agency must call the Minister to order with a view to stopping him from further threatening the peace of the state.

He further stated that Rivers youths will no longer fold their hands and watch people threaten the peace of the State, stressing that the youths will be mobalised to work against the interest of those bent on destablising the state, no matter how highly placed.

He commended the Rivers State Governor for his forward-looking initiatives and numerous achievements in the state, noting that for the first time since the creation of the state, Rivers people are seeing their money being put into useful venture.

He particularly commended him for the on-going construction of Iwofe Road as well as the numerous drainages being constructed in Port Harcourt metropolis and pledge the unflincting support of Rivers youths to the administration.
