FRSC Holds Enlightenment Rally At Rumuokoro

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Rivers State Sector Command says it has concluded arrangement to hold a public enlightenment rally at Rumuokoro Motor Park, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The rally, with its theme; “Information is power”, will take place August 16, 2013.

The Tide gathered that the essence of the rally is to sensitise the motoring public on safety, which includes use of seatbelt, over-speeding, driving while using GSM phones, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, overloading among others.

It was further gathered that the forum would be used to enlighten motorists on the new drivers’ licence and number plates.

The Public Education Officer (PEO) of FRSC, Rivers Sector Command, Mr John Michael who confirmed the arrangement said the sector Commander, Dr Kayode Olagunju, and other officers official of Ministry of Transport, National Union of Rod Transport Workers (NURTW), the Rivers  State Road Traffic Management Authority (TIMARIV), Rivers Transport Company (RTC) Special FRSC Marshals, Corpers under FRSC, other stakeholders and the motoring public are expected to grace the occasion.
