Former Legislator Laid To Rest In Gwara
He recalled the late lawmaker and himself were both elected to the Rivers State House of Assembly in 1999 on the platform of the All Peoples Party, and he served as the Deputy Minority Leader and Minority Whip.
He said the departed lawmaker who represented Khana Constituency I was a very effective politician that was highly appreciated by his
colleagues. Senator Abe used the opportunity to award skill acquisition scholarship to 10 youths of Gwara community, and also promised to connect the community to the National Grid.
Speaking on behalf of the community, an elder statesman, Chief Anthony Gua, thanked Senator Abe for his gesture, and assured the commitment of the community to support the leadership of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi in Rivers State.
Chief Gua, a former chairman of the defunct Bori Local Government Area, cautioned against the antics of Amaechi’s critics, and detractors, pointing out that the Governor has performed exceptionally, and deserves the unflinching support of Rivers people.
