The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has suspended Chairman, Senate Committee on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Senator Andy Uba.
He was suspended alongside his brother, Chris Uba, factional Chairman of Anambra State chapter of the PDP, Ejike Oguebego, Benji Udeozor, and Tonia Nwankwu.
PDP spokesperson, Tony Okeke, said the decision was taken after the members last Wednesday, failed to honour an invitation by the National Working Committee of the party to come and explain why they held a parallel primary during the last Anambra PDP primary election.
The affected members did not only stay away, but also refused to send an apology for their inability to attend the meeting.
Sources say the Senator was in fact sighted in Asokoro, Central Area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
