Tonye Princewill’s Movie, “76” Hits Market Soon

A new movie titled ‘76’ will soon hit the movie shelves after its premiere in the cinemas has been concluded.
The movie stars top Nollywood actors such as Ramsey Noah, Chidi Mokeme, Rita Dominic, Ibinabo Fiberesima amongst others.
The movie chronicles the life of the former Head of State, Late General Murtala Ramat Mohammed. It centres around the true story and the event that led to the assassination of the late Head of State of Nigeria in 1976.
Shot in Ibadan, Oyo State, the big budget movie was produced by a Kalabari Prince and one of the prominent politicians in Rivers State, Prince Tonye Princewill.
The Petroleum Engineer and business mogul disclosed that his love for the entertainment industry made him to go into movie and music productions in order to contribute to the growth of the sector. He noted that as a businessman movie making is one of his business interests.
Prince Tonye Princewill observed that Nollywood is giving Nigeria a good image in other countries, adding that unfortunately, the stakeholders in the industry are doing it with little or no help from government.
He maintained that Hollywood has a  strong collaboration with the American government, while Bollywood has the backing of the Indian government, but in Nigeria here, it is a different ball game.
The prince said his desire is to change the society and the entertainment industry positively through his movie making.
The Tide entertainment also gathered that Prince Tonye Princewill has shot a documentary about himself titled: Man, Mentor and Maverick, which takes viewers into the life of the politician and business guru.
