RSG Yet To Name New CJ

In our publication of Monday, July 29, 2013, at page One, we published a story which detailed a valedictory programme of the retiring Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Iche Ndu
In that report, we published that Justice Daisy Okocha will succeed the retiring Chief Judge, an information that is incorrect
We have since learnt that no formal appointment of a new CJ has been made in that respect.
We regret the embarrassment our report might have caused the state government and indeed the judiciary and promise to bring to our readers the retiring Chief Judge’s true successor, once formally named.
The error is highly regretted.
