Rivers Hosts South-South Female Journalists

The Rivers State
Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists  (NAWOJ) will tomorrow, the 27th of July 2013, host her counterparts from the south-south geopolitical region of the federation in a zonal meeting/conference.
The zonal conference which will hold at the  Ministry of Women Affairs, Eastern Bye-pass, Port Harcourt at 10.am will be graced by female journalists from Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo, Delta, Akwa Ibom and  Cross River States.
Highlights of the event include a lecture on “Gender Balancing” the role of education,” awards of honour on distinguished daughters of Rivers State as well as the launching of the association’s sticker.
A statement by the secretary of the state chapter of the association,  Mrs Lilian Okonkwo, enjoins  members  to pull their  weight towards the success  of the  conference.
