Retiring ICT Director Gets Accolade
The Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Mr Goodliffe Nmekini, has lauded the contributions of the Department’s Director of Administration, Mr Kweedii O. Nnaah, for his service to the people of Rivers State. He stated this recently, in Port Harcourt, during the send-forth ceremony in honour of Mr Nnaah, saying that he touched lives during his days at the ICT department.
Nmekini said the former Director of Administration might have gained his wealth of experience through his several posting to several ministries and departments in the state’s civil service commission.
According to him, the ICT department was fortunate to have had Nnaah serve with them as a Director of Administration.
In his response, the ICT retired director called on those at the technical department to take their work seriously as the world is advancing towards digitalization.
Nnaah also pointed out that the state would soon depend on the department (ICT) for some sensitive issues in line with its planned digital system.
He advised the technicians in the unit to plan how to excel on their vocation, adding that they may use it to develop themselves in the future.
Others who spoke at the event, described Nnaah as a disciplinarian who did not toy with his duties.
They also pleaded with him to ensure that he never stopped relating with them even as he retired.
