Ondo Restates Commitment To Tourism Dev

The Ondo State Government said it would not relent in its efforts to develop tourist attractions in parts of the state.
The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mr Deji Falae, newsmen on Tuesday in Akure that the government would also support, promote and encourage private tourist centres.
Falae said he had embarked on visits to private tourist centres in the state, stressing that the last one he visited was “Oyemekun Rock Unity Village’’ in Akure.
He said government would assist and promote all tourist attractions in the state to the outside world with a view to bringing them to the limelight.
“The state government will continue to encourage private individuals to invest in tourism with a view to boosting the resources of the state and improving on the nation’s foreign exchange earnings,’’ he said.
The commissioner said the African continent had a lot of advantage over others in natural endowments, adding that “we need to harness the resources for an improved economy.”
