Mile One Market Gets New Exco
The Mayor of Port-Harcourt City Local Government Area, Hon. Chimbiko Akarolo has charged the newly elected executive committee of Rumuwoji Mile 1 Market Traders Association to display a sense of selfless service in the discharge of their mandates.
Speaking at the inauguration of the sixteen man executive committee led by Deacon Kenneth C. Eze, Monday, in Port Harcourt the Secretary to the Local Government Council, Hon. Theophilus Akugbo, who represented the Council boss urged the executive to move the union forward.
He urged them to work as a team and ensure that every member of the union especially, those who lost during the election were reconciled in the interest of the union.
The Local Government Chairman warned that the council will not hesitate to dissolve the executive if their exist any forms of disturbances in the market, adding that the mile 1 market occupied a very important position in the administration of the council.
The Mayor while congratulating them on there well deserved victories urged them to justify the confidence reposed on them by the members by instituting efficient leadership in the union.
Responding on behalf of the elected executive, the Chairman of the Rumunwoji Mile 1 Market Traders Association, deacon Kenneth C. Eze thanked the traders for the honour done him and members of the executive and assured that they will justify the confidence reposed on them.
