Kattey Installs 3 Canons, Ordains 22 Deacons

Three Canons and 22 Deacons were installed and ordained respectively on Sunday, July 14 by the Dean, Church of Nigeria, Archbishop Niger Delta and Bishop, Diocese of Niger Delta, the Most Reverend Ignatius C. O. Kattey.

Those installed Canons are Rev. Ifeanyichukwu Aniagboso, Rev. Nmmamyoziwe Samuel Okechukwu Wakowhu and Rev. Ugochukwu Emmanuel Okpala while those ordained deacons are Rev. Godspower Omeodum, Rev. Friday Amaechi, Rev. Ebenezer Oluji, Rev. Wisdom Ngeyai, Rev. Victor Anioke, Emmanuel Makele, Rev. Emmanuel Owhondah, Rev. John Onu, Rev. Emmanuel Ikonwa and Rev. Girald Muma.

Others are Rev.Favour Nwakama, Chinenye Okanume, Chuks Nwachukwu, Rev. ThankGod Wosu, Samuel Ali, Rev Samuel Elenwo (Jnr), Rev. Uzoma Ahunanya, Rev. Bethel Waka, Rev. Triumph Triumph, Rev. Eberechi Onwumelu, Rev. Charles Anene and Rev. Inye Dikio.

Delivering a sermon at the installation and ordination service at the Cathedral Church of Saint Paul, Diobu, Port Harcourt, the Church of Nigeria Chaplain, in the United Kingdom, Rev. Canon Benjamin Enwhuchola, urged the newly ordained to be strong and courageous in the Lord Jesus Christ to enable them to successed in their mission.

Speaking on “God’s Formula for Success.” Rev. (Canon) Enwuchola said courage is not the absence of fear but the ability to conquer fear.

Rev (Canon) Enwuchola who took his text from Joshua 1:6-8 also urged the newly ordained and his listeners to be obedient to God’s words.

Said he; “Take every God’s word very seriously and sensitive to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.”

The priest further advised that for one to succeed in the Ministry there is the need to be saturated by the Holy Spirit and the word of God.

He said the word of God is powerful and sharper than two edged sword “adding that these formula works in every area of life, but before it will work for any one, the person must have a working relationship with God. “Make a connection with God and just be a Church attendant or goer,” he said.
