The Rivers Leadership Advancement Foundation (RIVLEAF), an Association of ex-Rivers Student Union Leaders has attributed the on-going crisis in the people Democratic Party (PDP) IN Rivers State to the refusal by Governor Chibuike Amaechi to share Rivers money with some politicians.
The president of the foundation, Mr Alex Wele, who said  this during the inauguration of the Eleme chapter of the foundation at the weekend, however, said that no amount of threats or intimidation will distract the governor from developing the state.
Mr Wele, who is also a special Adviser to the Governor urged the people of Eleme to shun the activities of disgruntled politicians whose stock in trade is to cause confusion in the state.
He particularly charged the  youth of Eleme to shun the activities of the Grassroot Development Initiative which he said are inimical to democracy, peace and stability of Rivers State and Eleme Local Government in particular.
The RIVLEAF president also warned the leadership of the foundation in the area against betraying the confidence reposed on them by the people warning that any of them found flirting with the opposition will be  sanctioned.
Also speaking, the state Commissioner for Sports, Mr Fred Igwe urged all members of GDI in the state to denounce their membership and support the government.
Hon Igwe also said that the people of Eleme, who are enlightened will no longer be misled by any group, stressing that their support for the Amaechi-led government was total.
The chairman Eleme Local Government Council, Hon Oji Ngofa said that the council will continue to support the state governor, Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi to deliver democracy dividends to the state.
