‘Federal Employments ’ll Be Based On Merit’

representing Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi States at the Federal Civil Service Commission, Dr Ngozi Etolue, has said recruitment of Enugu unemployed youth at the federal level would be on merit.
Speaking at the end of a closed-door meeting with Gov. Sullivan Chime in Enugu. Monday the commissioner promised the people of equitable distribution of job opportunities among the qualified youth.
Etolue said the recruitment would be geared toward protecting the interest of the state, disclosing that she paid a courtesy visit to Chime to familiarise herself with the state.
She said that her administration would would also recruit youths who had performed excellently in their different endeavours.
“One of the reasons why I am here is to allay your fears; to let the people of Enugu State know that their interest will be protected under my dispensation. I have your interest at heart and I will not do anything to jeopardise the people of Enugu State. “Whatever recruitment, vacancies, that are set out for unemployed, the youth in Enugu State will be fully given, but on merit, she said.
“We deal on merit and people who have graduated and have done excellently will also be recruited based on the vacancies available. “There will be no setbacks for the state with my being there and I promise the people will get what is due to them,’’ she added.
