… Adopts New Work Ethics
As part of moves to bring
back the lost glory of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the leadership of the organization has introduced a new concept of work ethics hinged on the acronym “PIESET”.
The Regional General Manager, South-South/South East, Mrs Ebele Okoye stated this in a release made available to The Tide, that the concept was unveiled at FAAN’s leadership retreat held in Lagos recently.
Mrs Okoye explained that PIESET represents Passion, Integrity, Excellence, Service, Entrepreneur and Team-spirit, stressing that the acronym was arrived at after a rigorous brainstorming session that went on for hours.
The Regional General Manager said the watchword was expected to ginger up the staff to see the establishment in a new perspective that would make service delivery a way of life rather than routine work.
“The vision of FAAN is to make the organization the pride of the nation the thinking gave birth to the slogan of ‘FAAN becoming the pride of the nation”, Mrs Okoye said, noting that to achieve the objective all hands must be on deck and employed workers to play their expected roles diligently.
According to her, “the authority is poised to change the fortunes of FAAN for better and to make it proud again, it is set to make Nigerians and foreigners alike feel at ease whenever they are using any of our airports.
The statement described the slogan as apt at this moment of the Transformation going on in the country, adding that FAAN cannot afford to be left behind.
She, therefore, urged staff of the Port Harcourt International Airport to put in their best in the discharge of various duties while warning those engaging in acts that would bring the name of FAAN to disrepute.
