95 Ships Arrive Lagos Ports
Eighty nine ships are expected to arrive in Lagos ports from July 4 to July 28, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has said.
NPA disclosed this in its daily publication, “Shipping Position,’’ made available to newsmen on Thursday in Lagos.
It said that 16 of the ships would sail in with vehicles.
The document also indicated that 22 of the ships would arrive with petroleum products, while 28 ships would sail in with containers.
NPA said that other ships would sail in with general cargoes, bulk wheat, fresh fish, bulk fertiliser, bulk gypsum, crude palm oil, boats, bulk urea, base oil, steel products and bulk salt.
According to the document, five ships are waiting to berth and discharge petrol, while six other ships will discharge crude palm oil, bulk malt and bulk fertiliser.
Our correspondent reports that 22 ships are currently discharging containers, bulk wheat, steel products, bulk fertiliser, fresh fish and petroleum products.
