Wolves’ Away Victory Stands Out In NPFL Wk 18
There were some impressive results in Wednesday’s Week 18 games of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Warri Wolves being the standout team following their 2-0 away win over ABS FC in Ilorin, with Oghenekaro Etebor and Gift Atulewa amongst the goals.
Lobi Stars held defending champions, Kano Pillars to a 1-1 draw in Kano after Oche Odigison opened scoring for the visitors.
Pillars equalised shortly after but were unable to win the game.
Dele Olorundare bagged a brace for Sunshine Stars in their 2-0 home win over Nembe City.
Heartland FC beat visiting Nasarawa United 2-0 with Isah Akor and Jolly Osas finding the back of the net for the hosts.
Second half goals off set pieces from Gbolahan Salami and Mutiu Adegoke gave Shooting Stars a 2-0 win at home against Kaduna United, while Peter Ebimobowei was again the hero for Bayelsa United as his first half goal helped them record a 1-0 home win against Gombe United.
In other games, Wikki Tourists and Sharks recorded 1-0 home wins against Dolphins and Enyimba respectively.
The game between El Kanemi and Rangers will hold in Maiduguri while the game between banished Akwa United and Kwara United will hold at the impoverished Rojenny Stadium in Nnewi, Anambra State.
