Stip dancing which is a trend in most night clubs in western countries is now in vogue in some night clubs in Nigeria and Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital is not left out in the scheme of things.

It is now a common sight in these clubs as the strip dancers mount the stage to entertain fun lovers with their exotic and mesmerising dance steps and acrobatic displays wriggling their wastes and most times stripping their cloths in the process to the delight and admiration of the night clubbers.

Speaking on the new trend in night club business, the Manager of Royal Africk night club along Aba Road, Prince Ifeanyi Mini disclosed that most night clubs now feature strip dancers to attract more customers and to boost sales especially drinks which are usually in high demand on such nights that the strip dancers perform.

He however, noted that apart from the strip dancers, there are comedians too who entertain with ribcracking jokes as well as other side attractions aimed at providing total relaxation and entertainment in a peaceful and enabling environment.

The manager also observed that the introduction of stip dancers and comedians in night clubs have given them an edge over the regular drinking joints and hang outs where these things are not provided. So most times people prefer the night clubs where they could get these services at most free of charge, as gate fees are not demanded from them.

He said in Royal Africk night at both the Aba road and Rumuekini branches of the club, customers do not pay gate fees rather, they come in, buy their drinks, relax and be entertained, which makes the club very unique. He also noted that night clubs are not just for drinking and dancing, but it provides avenue to make new friends and also affords you business opportunites by interacting with others.

Prince Mini noted that night club business is thriving in the state as a result of the relative peace and security that exist today compared to the past years before the advent of the Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s administration.

According to him, in those years the business suffered a decline due to insecurity and the nefarious activities of militants, kidnappers and other social misceants that held sway in the state.
