Reporters Task New CR On Transformation
Members of the Association of Judiciary and Crime Correspondents, Rivers State have tasked the newly elevated Chief Registrar of the State High Court, Leonard Kobamoye Adoki to evolve policies that would promote the desired transforma of judiciary administration in the state.
The Chairman of the association, Deacon Samuel Chinda made the call when he led members of the association to pay a courtesy visit on the Chief Registrar Monday in his office in Port Harcourt.
Deacon Chinda while congratulating him on his well deserved elevation urged the Chief Registrar to bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new position in order to justify the confidence reposed on him.
He described the new C.R. of the State High Court as a symbol of humility and honesty, adding that it was his humility that endeared him to the exalted position.
The chairman used the opportunity to seek for a closer working relationship between the leadership of the judiciary and the press corps, especially in allocation of an office to the association and assured the Chief Registrar of the unalloyed support of the group to enable him succeed.
In his response, the Chief Registrar of the High Court of the state, His Worship, Leonard Kobamoye Adoki, thanked members of the association of the Judiciary /Crime Correspondents for the visit.
He assured that he would enthron an unfettered Justice administration that would anchor on fairness to all in the state and the society at large, adding that workers welfare would be given attention.
The Chief Registrar used the opportunity to thank the Almighty God for the elevation, the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Iche Ndu as well as the entire members of the state Judicial Service Commission for the honour done and pledged not to renage on the trust placed on him.
He urged members of the fourth estate of the realm, especially the judiciary/crime correspondents to give a fair reportage to the activities of and programmes of the judiciary, even as he promised to have a good working relationship with the association.
