Poor Marksmanship Worries F/Eagles Coach

Nigeria’s U-20 Coach, John Obuh, said his team missed many chances inMonday’s 3-0 win against Cuba in the U-20 World Cup Group B match in Turkey.
In a statement, the team’s Media Officer, Sam Audu, in Abuja, quoted Obuh as saying: “We lost more chances than we scored, this is because of the players’ poor attitude in the front of the goal.
“But the most important thing is that we played well after our loss to Portugal and we hope to stay long enough in the competition to correct this problem.”
Skipper Abduljaleel Ajagun also said that it was crucial that the Flying Eagles beat Cuba.
“It was not an easy match because Cuba gave us a fight but we’re happy we won the three points at stake and will take it from there,” Ajagun said.
Meanwhile, Cuba’s coach, Raul Gonzalez, said that the Nigerian team was superior to his team.
“It was a dream to play at the World Cup. We have gained a lot of experience here as we have had to play against far better teams like Nigeria,” the statement quoted the coach as saying.
Nigeria’s win was Africa’s first victory at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Nigeria will face South Korea in the final of Group B match tomorrow in Istanbul.
