Chief Coach of Sharks FC of Port Harcourt, Gbenga Ogunbote, says his duty in Sharks FC is to help salvage the club’s season and set it on the path of glory.

Ogunbote stated this, Wednesday, shortly after his team defeated visiting Enyimba FC of Aba 1-0 in one of the week 18 matches of the 2012/2013 Nigerian Premier League games played at the sharks FC Stadium.

According to him, the team is working hard to put the right pegs in the right places, adding “God is going to save sharks FC, I am here to confirm it,” he said.

Meanwhile, the match which was keenly contested between both sides saw Sharks FC’s Taye Fabiye, scoring the only goal of the match.

The goal came at the 22nd minutes from outside the eighteen  box with a powerful shot that kept the Elephants’ keeper hanging.

However, efforts to equalise the goal failed as the visitors missed most of their scoring chances.

Earlier, Assistant Coach of Enyimba FC Imama Amapakabo, said that, the home side won by luck, saying that his team did not loss to a better side.

“We had a high percentage of ball possession in the game and we had better chances, but luck was not on our side.

Responding to Amapakabo statement, Coach Ogunbote, said that, his team played a good game and  deserved the victory.
