LG Boss Cautions On Sanitation Culture

The Chairman, Egor Local Government Area in Edo, Mr Victor Enobakhare, last Thursday, in Benin, urged residents of the area to imbibe the culture of good sanitation.

Enobakhare said that his administration was committed to ensuring that the local government was kept clean and healthy for the inhabitants.

“Promoting environmental sanitation is geared toward improving the quality of the environment and reducing diseases and health-related problems. “I assure you that my administration will encourage good sanitary habits among the people so that the local government and indeed Edo State will be a safe place for everybody,” he said.

He stressed the need for synergy between the government and the residents to tackle the erosion problem that had wreaked havoc in the area in recent times.

Enobakhare promised to ensure that waste managers carried out their duties with a view to ensuring that every market in the area was kept clean.

He noted that his administration was committed to the developmental programmes of Governor Adams Oshiomhole, adding that decaying infrastructure in the local government would be revamped.
