Angels, Queens Share Points In Bayelsa
Bayelsa Queens FC of Bayelsa State yesterday forced Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt to a 1-1 draw in one of the Week 14 matches of the on-going 2013 Professional Women Football League.
The match which was keenly contested between both sides witnessed an average number of spectators that watched the encounter at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex.
The match saw the hosts and their visitors scoring at the first half of the game as they battled for victory.
However, both sides failed to secure the three maximum points at stake in the competition as they resolved to share points, with the 28th minute goal and the 43rd minute equalizer.
The first goal of the match came via Angels, Asisat Oshoala, while the equalizer was scored through a free kick by the Queens Charity Ifenko to end the first half of the game.
On resumption of play both teams lost chances to increase their goal tally till the final whistle.
With the result, the Rivers Angels are now on 29th points from 14 matches played so far.
