The national leadership of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), has declared that there is no crisis or crack in its Enugu State chapter of the opposition party.

They explained that the recent suspension of  the  2011 gubernatorial candidate in the area, Mr. Valentine Nnaedozie, and 21 others  was part of measure to instill discipline in the party as well as rid it of bad eggs.

Briefing newsmen on recent developments in the Enugu State chapter of the party, the national ex-officio member representing South East geo – political zone , Comrade Adolphous  Udeh, affirmed  claims by the Barrister Barth Ugwuoke led leadership (Exco)  that prior to the sanction,  the suspended  members  were allegedly  being used as instrument of mischief and destabilisation in the party by the PDP.

He  however, dismissed  rumours  that the party  is currently  experiencing some crack in the coal city state of Enugu, as a fall out of  the  last congress which produced the incumbent  State Working Committee (SWC).

His words: “I want to make it categorically clear that there is nothing like crack or division in the Enugu State chapter of ACN, the present state Exco led by Barrister Barth Ugwuoke was duly elected during a state congress of the party held on April 29, this year at Zodiac Hotel Enugu, and was observed by INEC officials, security operatives and all other relevant bodies as stipulated by law”.

Udeh, who was  flanked  by the state chairman and  secretary, Barrister Ugwuoke and Uche Ogbu ,  publicity secretary, Rev Emma Ugwu Zion and woman leader, Lolo Queen Nwankwo, during the briefing,,  insisted that ACN, remained the only alternative political platform  for Nigerian electorate in 2015.
