Proposed N150,000 Salary For League Players Feasible – Coach

Chairman, Nassarawa United FC Isaac Danladi, has said that the proposed N150,000 for Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) players as salary is feasible.

Danladi told newsmen in Lagos that this would raise the living standards of the players.

The League Management Company (LMC) had raised the idea of making it mandatory for clubs to pay their players not less than N150,000 to improve their living standard.

The chairman added that there should be a mechanism in place to ensure that clubs complied by enforcing it.

“Its necessary for us to enforce this to ensure that clubs comply. We in Nassarawa hold our players in high esteem and we do not joke with their welfare.

“It is feasible for clubs to pay that even more. It is possible, if you ask me? I think they deserve more provided that we have the means to pay.

“Although I am not sure that any manager is aware of this proposal, we just read it on the pages of newspapers,’’ Danladi said.

The Nassarawa FC boss did not, however, say from where the clubs could raise such huge bills.
