PDP Crisis: Rivers Enemies’ll Be Disgraced – Dakuku
The member representing Opobo/Andoni Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Dakuku Peterside has warned that all Rivers sons working with enemies to destabilise the state will be disgraced.
Hon Dakuku, who stated this in an interview also said that those who appeared in a television programme to lie against the state would pay dearly for betraying the confidence reposed in them.
The lawmaker alleged that those behind the crisis in the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party were merely struggling to have access to the purse of Rivers State in 2015.
He informed The Tide that the plans of the enemies of the state would fail because they were working against the interest of Rivers state and God.
According to him, whoever they were working for at the top, their purpose was to have access to the purse of Rivers State in 2015
“As a Christian, I can tell you the truth, God and Rivers State know them very well, and they will all fail”, he said.
The lawmaker disclosed that his election to the lower chamber of the National Assembly had exposed him to conflicting national interests and how best to address them, adding that he had strived to serve public interest and social-political engineering through the instructmentality of law making.
Dakuku said that he had so far proposed five bills dealing with a wide range of issues, including tightening the laws on small arms and light weapons, establishment of medical laboratory in post graduate colleges, among others.
