Also the NUJ Lagos State Chairman, Comrade Deji Elumonye said the unions would seal off the premises of the newspapers until the entire allowance and salary arrears owed the workers by the company’s management are paid.
He said no effort of the newspapers management to pacify the unions would be acceptable until the entire workers salary arrears are paid.
The union’s chairman said the exercise was in strict adherence to the directive from the unions national body.
However, as of the time of going to press The Tide could not ascertain if the company management has agree to pay the outstanding workers salary arrears and allowances with the unions leaders to necessitate reopening of the company premises as the two sides are still in a meeting.
