The Rivers State Deputy Governor, Engr. Tele Ikuru, has called on politicians in Andoni to shun acts capable of undermining the peace and progress recorded under the leadership of Rivers State Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

Ikuru made the call at the burial of late Madam Titi H. Ibani, the mother of the lawmaker representing Andoni Constituency, Hon. Ikuinyi Ibani at Ataba town, Andoni Local Government Area of the state.

According to him, Amaechi   is God sent  with the interest of the state at heart, hence those opposing him were only fighting for their selfish interest and not for the state’s.

He urged the people of Andoni to support Governor Amaechi’s administration in its continued effort at providing the much-needed democracy dividends in the state.

The deputy governor, urged the deceased family to bear the loss with fortitude describing  the late Madam Ibani  as a virtuous woman, who devoted her life to good upbringing of her children and to the service of the society.

Engr. Ikuru attributed Hon. Ibani’s successful endeavours to the proper upbringing by his parents and urged the bereaved family to emulate her.

He assured Hon. Ibani and the family members that God would surely use them to fill the vacuum created by their late mother.
