Agency Assures On Refuse Evacuation
The General Manager, Cross River State Waste Management Agency, Ntufam Elegance Edim, has assured the populace of the agency’s commitment to the discharge of its statutory duties of refuse evacuation.
Ntufam Edim stated this while answering reporters’ questions on the level of performance of the Agency since it was established over a year ago.
He noted that with the support and encouragement from the State Government, the Agency had so far carried out its duties progressively.
The General Manager disclosed that the Agency’s duties would be extended to Ugep, Ikom, Ogoja and Obudu Local Government Areas to enable more people feel its impact.
He described the Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke as a leader with humane feelings whose era has brought confidence to the people adding that such leadership style was what Nigeria as a nation was desirous of.
On staffing of the agency, he lauded the Head of Service for posting the needed workers to the new Agency which has enhanced its smooth take-off.
He noted that the present administration had demonstrated the needed passion for the workforce through training programmes, welfare package and constant payment of salaries in the face of its lean resources.
