Police Investigate Electrocution In Enugu

The Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police  has commenced investigation into the alleged electrocution of one Ugochukwu  Adaba, of Adelabu Street,Uwani Enugu, the capital city of Enugu State, last Sunday.

It was gathered that the victim said to have come from Ugbala Isieke in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State allegedly met his death as he was trying to fetch water in the yard, unknown to him that he had gotten in contact with a naked wire and was consequently electrocuted.

In a similar development, investigations into the alleged electrocution of one Cletus Udeh has also commenced by men of the Nigeria Police Enugu State command.

The victim who is said to have come from Umungwu Agbanano village Amoli Awgu was allegedly electrocuted in the friend’s house also from Umungwu Agbanano village Amoli Awgu Enugu State while trying to plug in something to the circuit.

Confirming the two incidents, the Enugu State police command’s Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amaraizu, stated that the remains of the victims have already been deposited at the mortuary of the Eastern Nigeria Hospital Enugu for autopsy.
