Oribamise Wins Gold At World Cadet, Junior Global Circuit

The Head Coach, Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTFF), Nosiru Bello, has expressed joy over the brilliant performance of Tosin Oribamise at the just-concluded 2013 World Cadet and Junior Global Circuit.

The player won the country’s only gold medal at the global event which took place at Hammanet, Tunisia.

Bello told newsmen in Lagos that the gifted cadet player was only just beginning to show the stuff she was made of.

“Tosin proved herself again by clinching the gold medal from her Egyptian opponent, with her powerful top spin and drive; she has won gold for the second time, this year.

“I am happy about our gold medal; it shows that there is hope for our upcoming players. Tosin is an exceptional player and if properly groomed, she will go places,’’ he said.

The coach noted that it was the first time Nigeria would be winning a gold medal in a world championship.
