He also charged the members to monitor activities of the agencies to make sure the government receive the money they realise.

The governor decried what he described as the under performance of internally-generated revenue managers in the state over the years.

He said that it had become necessary to adopt new strategies in revenue collection to create healthy competition and stimulate economic growth.

Okorocha urged the monitoring team to take the assignment seriously as their performance would help to free the state from the mismanagement that had been retarding its economic growth.

The governor further charged members of the committee to report any case of corrupt dealings as the government would not spare any corrupt official.

Okorocha also said that non-payment of tax by some organisations and individuals in the state had become a big challenge to his administration.

He called on tax evaders in the state to change their attitude and live up to their civic responsibilities.
