The Ogun State Government has intervened in the land dispute between Nestle Foods Nigeria Plc and the Ipofuwa, Abara and Ajayi families of Sagamu, in Ogun State, with the aim of reaching an amicable resolution of controversial issues on the Nestle site located in Sagamu area of the state.

This move is coming at the time when representatives and members of Ipofuwa, Abraraiyejo otherwise known, as Abara and Ajayi of Sagamu, Ogun State are tackling Nestle Foods and others over a vast landed property.

Although the dispute began when Nestle Plc began massive construction of factories which had been completed, but the families who believed that their rights was illegally  taken are still claiming that the purported acquisition of the landed property under the former administration led by Otumba Gbenga Daniel, was a fraud and as such should be nullified, which has resulted to litigations.

Nestle Foods had in their averment before Ogun State High Court, Sagamu Judicial Division debunked a claim of trespass, positing that Ogun State Government validly sold the landed property to it.

It was reliably gathered that Ogun State government had reached out to the feuding parties, and held meeting with them on the matter for settlement.

Representatives of the families invited include Messrs Adekoya Seidu, Jimoh Ekundayo and Adepeju Adeniji who are laying claim to the land based on claim of onwerhsip by traditional inheritance.

The others are Nestle Food representatives; Tayo Dada, Olabisi Kolapo, Olusanya Ife and Registrar of titles, Ogun State.
