LG Boss Promises To Tackle Kidnapping

The new administration of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area has promised zero tolerance for kidnapping and other forms of insecurity in the area.

The chairman of the council, Hon. Austin Ahiamadu who said this durindg the inauguration of the council secretary and Chief of Staff recently at Omoku, said that the policy on internal security would critically and thoroughly address the crime rate in the area, pointing out that insecurity would be tackled headlong, as no reasonable economic growth could take place in a crime ridden society.

According to the council boss, the various security agencies in the area would enjoy the cooperation of the council in a bid to stamp out criminality in the area.

Hon. Ahiamadu also said that the administration will create job opportunities through its skill development initiative (SDI).

He further said that the policy on healthcare, would ensure that all Onelgans have access to free medical services, immunisation for children, while the council would encourage family planning by providing family planning support services and materials free of charge for the people.

According to him, it will also be part of the health policy of the administration to continuality upgrade and equip primary health centres in each of the geopolitical zones of the local government area.

Also to be embarked upon are the resuscitation of the ONELGA Mass Transit, scheme while the council will partner with the DPR to site an NNPC Mega Filling Station in the area.
