Gokana United Beats Busdor 1-0

Gokana United Football Club defeated Busdor FC 1-0 at Bera Secondary School field in the ongoing Nigeria Nationwide League at the weekend.

Gokana United scored the only goal of the match in the early minute of the first half.

The encounter which was Gokana United FC debut in the Nigeria Nationwide League witnessed crowd of spectators.

Speaking with The Tide immediately after the match, the General Manager of Gokana United FC, Ambassador Solomon Lah praised his boys  for defeating the highly rated Busdor FC in the Nigeria Nationwide League.

Also speaking, the chairman of Gokana Local Government Ccouncil, Hon Demua Ledee Demua expressed satisfaction with performance of the team.

He used the occassion to redeem his pledge of N100,000 for any goal scored by the team during the encounter.

In a related development, the chairman of Rivers State Football Association, Chris Green inaugurated the Gokana Football Council.

The Chairman who was represented by his vice, Chief Omerukuma Kile charged members of the council to live above board at all times.

Members of council are Solomon Lah, Chairman, Martins Giadom, Vice Chairman while Abraham Baroko and Patrick Giadom are members.
