Deputy Speaker, Firm Partner On Motorpark Management

The Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Leyii Kwanee has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a private firm to manage a motor park built at Taaba, in Nyo-Khana Community.

Hon Kwanee who signed the dotted lines to signal the commencement of operations Tuesday in his office in Port Harcourt, said the project was a dream come true.

The lawmaker who represents Khana Constituency II, in the State Assembly, stated that shortly after assumption of office, he assured the prople of Nyo-Khana that his representation would make life  more meaningful to them.

According to him, the people of Nyo-Khana District travel to Bori first before boarding another vehicle to wherever they wish to  travel to, noting that with the park near them journeys would be straight from Taaba.

He expressed the hope that the company will abide by the terms of the agreement, adding however that the operators of the park are reputable transport firm.

The lawmaker, however said the document will be biding on both parties as any breach would terminate the agreements, emphasising that the company have shown serious interest in the proper management of the motor park.

The Deputy Speaker who built the facility as part of his contribution to ease the transport difficult of his people, promise to embark on projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the people.

Responding, the Park Operator, Mr. Austin Mgbamoku, assured the speaker and the people of the area of better deal.
