Egyptian giants Al Ahly have signified their interest in signing the Flying Eagles duo of Abdul-Jaleel Ajagun and Olarenwaju Kayode.

The two players left an impression on Ahly’s scouts who were at the African Youth Championship to hunt for the next generation of African football stars.

“There are two players we’ve closely watched during the tournament. Nigeria’s Ajagun and Kayode are now in our shortlist of potential transfers,” Hossam Al-Badri coach of Al Ahly told the media in Egypt.

Al-Badri disclosed that the performance of the two players in Nigeria’s 2-0 loss to Egypt last week ignited Al Ahly’s interest in signing them.

Ajagun is still contracted to Dolphins of Port Harcourt, while Kayode Olarenwaju plays for ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast, although he was recently linked with a move to Dinamo Minsk of Belarus.
