Again, N’Deltan Wins Nigerian Idol

The 22-year-old Moses Obi Adigwe, a.k.a The Teddy Bear, has emerged winner of one of Nigeria’s most-viewed reality TV show, Etisalat- Nigerian Idol, Season 3.

The smooth singer was filled with joy when his name was announced as the Season 3 winner.

Moses, who hails from Isheagu in Aniocha South Local Government Area, Delta State, becomes the first male contestant to emerge winner of the reality TV show.

He could not contain his joy as he stuttered over and over again, “This is a new beginning in my career and life… you don’t understand!”

Like in previous seasons, Etisalat Nigeria delivered, as promised, a brand new Hyundai SUV and a N7.5million cheque to the new Idol, who will also get a recording contract worth another N7.5 million.

The first Runner-up, Debbie Rise, got a whooping cash price of N1.5 million and went home with a brand new Kia Picanto, also courtesy of Etisalat Nigeria.

The top 12 contestants were not left out of the glamour and celebration, as they gave a group performance.

Efezino, JayFeel, Abasi Akang, Safeeyat Kome and the others also stepped up on stage to embrace Moses, who dissolved in their arms and cried happily.

Femi Kuti and the other judges, Yinka Davies and Jeffrey Daniels showered accolades on both Moses and Debbie

Rivers State-born Mercy Chinwo, who hails from Rumuodara in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area won the season 2 edition of the Nigerian Idol in 2012.
