LG Boss Charges Monarchs On New Agenda
The Sole Administrator in charge of Ehime-Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Hon. Lady Chioma Ogoke, has held her maiden meeting with the traditional rulers from the Local Government at the council hall, Umuezeala.
The meeting which was used to familiarise herself with the traditional heads in various autonomous communities dwelt extensively on the legitimate introduction of community government council in the State, by the Government of Owelle Rochas Okorocha and the expected roles of all the traditional rulers towards its success.
She respectfully called on all the traditional rulers to use their non-partisan position to strengthen the activities of CGC in their various autonomous communities. She charged them to take full charge in their respective communities which would in turn bring sanity and development. The daughter of Umuchioke Autonomous community and former Commissioner of Commerce and Industry used the avenue to educate all the Ezes on the importance of the payment of N250,000 counter-part fund into their respective autonomous community’s account as requested by the Owelle-led Government in order to attract N1,000,000 development fund from the same administration. She enjoined all the traditional rulers to work in synergy with all the government selected CGC executives stressing that all the initial emanated errors would periodically be corrected.
Hon. Lady Chioma Ogoke also counselled the Ezes to strengthen the security in their communities as well as provide one hectare of land for agricultural purposes.
In his own contribution, the chairman of Ehime-Mbano council of Traditional Rulers, HRH, Eze E.C Iwunze thanked the solad for the wonderful work she has been doing in the local government. He also expressed their belief in the Rescue Mission Agenda of governor Okorocha.
In a similar development, the same local government solad has inaugurated all the members of community government council and Government Liaison Officers in charge of the 31 Autonomous Communities.
In her speech prior to the inauguration proper, Hon. Lady Chioma Ogoke advised those involved to be alive to their roles. She also informed them to be abreast with the Rescue Mission Agenda, and instructed those who may feel aggrieved for one reason or the other to channel same to the appropriate quarters.
