Teacher Tasks Parents On Sports
Participation in sporting activities has been described as a social venture that engenders love, team-play and peace in the society.
The head teacher, Rivers State Primary School, Rukpokwu, Mr Hilary Nwankwoala (JP) stated this during the 2nd inter-house competition of the school last Friday in the school.
Mr Nwankwoala urged parents to always encourage their children and wards to participate in sports not only in the school but also outside the school for them to be fit stressing that, “a healthy body is to be found in a healthy mind.”
He also described Nigeria as a nation blessed with sports potentials and urged private investors to take advantage of the good situation and explore the opportunities derivable.
He particularly urged the public to compliment the schools efforts in providing Table Tennis set, footballs, volley balls, school Jersey, Trophies as well as high jump stands to enable the pupils get more exposed.
