The RSIEC boss further assured that the commission would not fail to perform her functions and mandate as specified by law without interference from any party or authorities.
He commended his commissioners and the adhoc staff of the commission who were in the field to perform the electoral obligation and services to the people
He noted that the success recorded by the commission in the conduct of the last elections was for all in the state.
The chief electoral officer advised the elected officers to remember that they were chosen and elected to serve the people and not to amass wealth and become lords.
According to him, ‘I urged you to pray that the circumstances that led to the re-run never happen again”.
“Know that you are elected to work for the people and help develop the area. Don’t forget at the end, you will give account to God and the people”, he said.
