The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed deep sorrow over the shocking death of Assistant Political Editor of the Guardian Newspapers, Mr. John-Abba Ogbodo, who died in an auto crash last Thursday.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh in a statement yesterday said the party was thrown into mourning when the news of Ogbodo’s death got to the National Secretariat.

The statement described the late Ogbodo, who covered the activities of the PDP for many years, as an exceptional and very hard working journalist who contributed immensely to the development of the country through his reportage of political events.

The PDP said Ogbodo remained dedicated to his calling as a journalist and carried out his duties with a great sense of responsibility that reflected in the credibility of his reports.
