PDP Chief Hails Anenih’s Election
A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Prince Tonye Princewill, has lauded the election of Chief Tony Anenih as the new chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the party.
Princewill who made the commendation last Tuesday through his media Assistant, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze in Port Harcourt said Anenih’s return as the BoT chairman would definitely benefit the party and strength it, given his experience in party management.
He said his election as the BoT chairman is a good one, a welcome development to the party, adding that the party would benefit immensely from his wealth of experience.
According to him, the return of Chief Anenih as the BoT chairman of the PDP was a good one, a welcome development because the party was sure to benefit immensely from it.
“If his experience in party management is anything to go by, then, you can be sure of what I have said. “As one of the founding fathers of the party, he is expected not only to bring back most of the founding fathers to the party, but to bring back the vision of the founding fathers of the party and reposition it for the great battle ahead”, he said.
He noted that the 2015 general election is already generating enormous heat, for the party to win, he said great minds must galvanise whenever they are in the party to play crucial roles, adding that the current BoT chairman fit the bill perfectly.
Chief Tony Anenih, at 80 was returned as the chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which he lost in controversial circumstances in 2007. The BoT chairman hails from Erumi, in Edo State, and has been in politics since the Second Republic and held several political positions, including Works Minister.
