The Ogun State Government has said that it would partner with stakeholders and operators in the building industry, so as to create an enabling environment that would enhance good living and as well transform the state into an investment haven.

Commissioner for Physical Planning, Mr Adebayo Faari who stated this in Abeokuta the Ogun State Capital, while hosting members of the State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Surveyors, said that the on-going developmental process in different parts of the state was meant to enhance its aesthetic look.

He said there was need for all the professionals within the building industry to form a strong relationship with the Ogun State government to transform the state.

The commissioner also said there was need for a roundtable discussion between the state government and relevant partners in order to meet the current challenges facing the government, particularly  in the area of housing and accommodation.

Chairman of Ogun State chapter of the Nigeria Institution of Surveyors, Mr Adeniji Adegunle said it was imperative for the body and the ministry to partner on the issuance of Certificate of Deposit.

“This will go a long way to reduce fake survey and enhance the revenue  generation drive of the state government in order to boost environmental planning through lay-out preparation and approval”, he said.
