Nigeria’s Draw Against Kenya Excites Oduamadi
The Super Eagles’ latest hero Nnamdi Oduamadi has revealed his excitement at returning to the national team set up and scoring the goal that helped Nigeria salvage a draw against Kenya in a 2014 World Cup qualifier last Saturday.
The Italy-based winger scored in the dying seconds of the game to salvage a 1-1 draw for the Super Eagles as Nigeria escaped a massive upset at the hands of Kenya at UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar.
Oduamadi stated that it was unfortunate that Nigeria did not win the game but expressed relief that the team were able to salvage a draw nonetheless.
“We were not fortunate today but lucky it didn’t end in defeat,” he said.
The 22-year-old took time to dedicate last Saturday’s goal to his mother whom he said told him prior to the game told him he would get on the scoresheet.
