Network Reassures On Good Governance
The Peoples Democratic Party Core Supporters Network (PCSN), South South zone, has said that it will not go back on the party’s directives to sensitise and mobilise towards attaining the dividends of democracy.
This was part of the communiqué signed by the National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Otumba Odewale Idowu during its inaugural meeting in Port Harcourt, last Thursday.
It stated that its support for all South South Governors and President Goodluck Jonathan grows stronger each passing day, adding that it was committed to the task.
It further enjoined state coordinators to work together with their different PDP chairmen and governors in order to strive for good governance.
The statement also charged members to ensure that they played major roles in conflict resolution, noting that conflict affects the party.
He urged them to maintain the spirit of oneness and unity within the PDP.
Earlier, the South-South Coordinator of the body, Chief Isaac Nwowu, recalled that the merger of ACN, APGA and others was just the beauty of democracy.”
He noted that it would strengthen the PDP in her quest to take the country to the next level.
Nwowu also expressed belief that the 2015 general election would only be determined and sustained based on the performance of the ruling party.
While commending Governor Chibuike Amaechi and other PDP governors, he said the group would soon have its convention which might not be politically based.
Also speaking, the River State Coordinator of PCSN, Comrade Chinda Ogbuji Evans, promised that the group will ensure that the party wins more souls before the 2015 general elections.
He reasoned that since the party was doing well in governance, it would have a safe landing in all political matters in the country. He thanked all South-South executives of the body for their support of the group so far.
