Monarch Hails Obagi Youth’s Peaceful Disposition

The traditional ruler of Obagi community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Rivers State,  Eze Abella Benson, has lauded youths of the area for resisting attempts by some selfish individuals to disrupt the peaceful disposition of the community.

Eze Benson made the commendation in an exclusive interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt at the weekend.

The paramount ruler who is also Eze Nweke Ochi Oha I of Obagi expressed satisfaction over maturity of purpose exhibited by the youths in handling situation that could have led to break down of law and order in the community.

He further commended the elders and Community Development Committee (CDC) members for ensuring that peace and unity of purpose reigned in the community.

Eze Benson, however, urged them to shun these individuals whose mode of operation was to cause confusion and disrupt developmental aspiration of the people.

He explained that his administration had made concerted efforts to ensure that oil companies operating in the area implemented the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the community as well as their social responsibilities.
